🪪 Document related

⚪ Document not accepted

This reason is chosen when a user submits an invalid document, such as:

  • Paper document

  • Visa

  • Work permit (Employment permit; Employment authorization)

  • Bank cards, etc.

  • This may also include a driver's license, residency permission, or other documents based on the company's procedures.

  • If data validation from different registries (such as "Population registry" or "Driver License registry") shows that a document is invalid.

⚪ Document is expired

This reason is chosen when the document has expired.

Generally, we accept documents that expire on the day the identification is verified until 24:00 on that same day.

⚪ Document with non latin characters

This reason is chosen when a user submits a document that does not contain information in Latin characters (e.g. Chinese characters, Arabic script, etc.)

⚪ Part of document is covered

This reason is chosen when some of the details in the document are concealed.

  • When significant information is obscured by fingers (e.g., while holding a document, a finger obstructs part of the MRZ or other essential information);

  • When critical information is hidden under a sheet of paper, etc.;

  • If an individual "cuts" part of a document while photographing it, resulting in the entire document not being visible in the photo, thus impacting the visibility of important details.

⚪ Data does not match

This reason is chosen when the information in the document does not align with the data in registries such as the "Population registry" or "Driver License registry".

Data that may not match:

  • Personal code

  • Document number

  • Name/Surname

  • Document issue/validity dates, and more

This also applies to companies requiring clients to provide information such as name, surname, validity dates, etc., but the data in the "Registration" section is incorrect due to the client's fault.

⚪ Faces do not match

This reason is chosen when a user's face in a "selfie" does not correspond to the face in the document (low "face score," etc.).

⚪ Document printed

The submitted document is printed on a sheet of paper.

Identifications are rejected with this reason if the company's rules consider this type of document submission unacceptable.

⚪ Document from screen

The submitted document is rephotographed from the other device.

Identifications are rejected with this reason if the company's rules consider this type of document submission unacceptable.

⚪ Document manipulation

The submitted document is fraudulent - made by modifying already-existing documents, faking stamps or signatures, or creating entirely fake documents from start.

⚪ Document is damaged

This reason is chosen when the identification document submitted by the user is physically damaged to the extent that critical information (such as name, photograph, document number, or expiration date) is obscured or unreadable.

⚪ Poor photo quality

This reason is chosen when the quality of the photos is quite poor, making it impossible to see all the necessary data.

⚪ Missing document photo

This reason is chosen when a user fails to submit one side of the document or the other:

  • ID card

  • DL - driver’s license

  • RP - resident permit

  • Passport card

  • When a user submits only the front or back side of the document, but the company requires both sides.

    • In some cases, users select "passport" as a document type but submit only the cover of the passport and not the main page. So in such situations, a MISSING_DOCUMENT_PHOTO message pops up.

⚪ Missing person photo

This reason is chosen when an individual fails to provide a "selfie" as requested.

⚪ Poor photo lighting

This reason is chosen when it's impossible to see the face or some of the required information in the document due to poor lighting or watermark reflection. This could include several digits such as the date of birth or just part of the MRZ, etc.

It may occur when poor lighting obscures the entire document (for example, when a picture is taken in total darkness without a flash).

⚪ Coloured ambient lighting

This reason is chosen when the photograph or scan of the identification document is affected by coloured ambient lighting. This can alter the appearance of the document, making it difficult to verify the authenticity and validity of the document. This reason for rejection is designed for companies whose procedures prevent the documents from being photographed under coloured LED lights.

⚪ More than one person present

This reason is chosen when the user's photographs depict an additional person who may have the potential to influence the process.

For instance, if a woman's hand is holding a man's document, or if another person is visible in the picture.

⚪ Submitted unrelated photo

This reason is chosen when an individual submits photos that are entirely unrelated to identification (e.g., room, car, landscape, animal, or pictures from the Internet).

⚪ Bad media format

This option is chosen when images of a face or document are inaccurately submitted.

It applies to companies utilizing KYC (Know Your Customer) functionality when images of documents taken in black and white are presented.

⚪ Part of face is covered

This reason is chosen when part of the human face is covered, such as when a person covers their face with a document or a sheet of paper.

⚪ Selfie has no face

Reasons for choosing this option include:

  • Camera Angle: The photo may have been taken at an angle that doesn't fully capture the face.

  • Poor Lighting: In low-light settings, the camera might struggle to depict facial features accurately.

  • Technical Issues: At times, technical malfunctions or errors in the camera or photo processing software can result in a selfie where the face is not clearly visible.

📇 Other

⚪ Possible fraud attempt

This reason is chosen when a potential case of fraud can be identified. If the client submits a “selfie” (and it looks male) but the sex in the submitted document is female and vice versa, or if the client submits a “selfie” and a document, but we clearly see that the submitted document belongs to a different person.

⚪ Underage person

This reason is chosen when the individual submitting the identification documents is a minor.

⚪ Unsupported country or state

This reason is chosen if the company has a list of prohibited countries/states and the submitted document (of a certain country) falls on that list.

⚪ Unsupported nationality

This reason is chosen if the company has a list of prohibited nationalities, and the submitted document (of a certain nationality) is on that list.

⚪ IP from unsupported country

This reason is chosen when the IP address from which the user is attempting to access the service is located in a country that is not supported by the service provider.

⚪ Sanctioned

This reason is chosen when the person providing identification is found in the list of sanctioned individuals. We manually verify the sanctions list and if we identify a matching name and surname, we decline the identification with this reason.

⚪ Client already exists

This reason is chosen when individuals identifying themselves already exist in our client’s database.

⚪ Miscellaneous

This reason is chosen in very rare cases, such as:

  • When technological obstacles prevent us from accessing the Register (due to errors on their side).

  • For companies with a "Repeat" process, where an individual can repeat the identification process without restarting it, resulting in multiple photo sessions being visible in one identification.

  • This option may be chosen if the customer attempts the KYC process 3 times unsuccessfully. Following to a rejection as “Miscellaneous”, the client will be required to initiate the process again.

⚪ Transfer to video-call

This reason is chosen when, in certain cases, a video call is required to fully identify the person.

⚪ Known fraudster

This reason is chosen when the person was added to the biometric or document stoplist after repeatedly performing identification using forged documents.

stoplist is an additional service containing an internal database of known fraudsters designed to increase security by automatically adding individuals who attempt to utilize stolen or fabricated data.

⚪ Invalid proof of address

This reason is chosen when the proof of address documentation does not meet the requirements or standards set by a company verifying a person's residential address.

For example, the document contains non-Latin characters, does not match the specified date range, is unofficial, or has someone else’s name. This reason for rejection is intended for companies whose procedures require a proof of address document.

⚪ Politically exposed person

This reason is chosen following a manual check that revealed the individual's presence on the Politically Exposed Persons list.

A politically exposed person (PEP) refers to an individual who is or has been entrusted with prominent public functions, either domestically or internationally. This could include high-ranking government officials, senior executives of government-owned corporations, senior members of the military, or leaders of political parties.

⚪ Adverse media found

The rejection reason is chosen following a manual check that reveals the individual had been discovered in adverse media. Adverse media refers to negative information or news about individuals, entities, or organizations that may indicate potential financial crime, corruption, or reputational risk.

⚪ High risk country

The rejection reason is chosen when the user's identification or IP address indicates that they are located in a country classified as high risk for financial transactions due to issues such as high levels of corruption, money laundering, terrorism financing, or other regulatory concerns.
