This reason is chosen when a user submits an invalid document, such as:
Paper document
Visa
Work permit (Employment permit; Employment authorization)
Bank cards, etc.
This may also include a driver's license, residency permission, or other documents based on the company's procedures.
If data validation from different registries (such as "Population registry" or "Driver License registry") shows that a document is invalid.
2️⃣ Document is expired
This reason is chosen when the document has expired.
Generally, we accept documents that expire on the day the identification is verified until 24:00 on that same day.
3️⃣ Document with non latin characters
This reason is chosen when a user submits a document that does not contain information in Latin characters (e.g. Chinese characters, Arabic script, etc.)
4️⃣ Part of document is covered
This reason is chosen when some of the details in the document are concealed.
When significant information is obscured by fingers (e.g., while holding a document, a finger obstructs part of the MRZ or other essential information);
When critical information is hidden under a sheet of paper, etc.;
If an individual "cuts" part of a document while photographing it, resulting in the entire document not being visible in the photo, thus impacting the visibility of important details.
5️⃣ Data does not match
This reason is chosen when the information in the document does not align with the data in registries such as the "Population registry" or "Driver License registry".
Data that may not match:
Personal code
Document number
Name/Surname
Document issue/validity dates, and more
This also applies to companies requiring clients to provide information such as name, surname, validity dates, etc., but the data in the "Registration" section is incorrect due to the client's fault.
6️⃣ Faces do not match
This reason is chosen when a user's face in a "selfie" does not correspond to the face in the document (low "face score," etc.).
🖼️ Photo related
1️⃣ Poor photo quality
This reason is chosen when the quality of the photos is quite poor, making it impossible to see all the necessary data.
2️⃣ Missing document photo
This reason is chosen when a user fails to submit one side of the document or the other:
ID card
DL - driver’s license
RP - resident permit
Passport card
When a user submits only the front or back side of the document, but the company requires both sides.
In some cases, users select "passport" as a document type but submit only the cover of the passport and not the main page. So in such situations, a MISSING_DOCUMENT_PHOTO message pops up.
3️⃣ Missing person photo
This reason is chosen when an individual fails to provide a "selfie" as requested.
4️⃣ Poor photo lighting
This reason is chosen when it's impossible to see the face or some of the required information in the document due to poor lighting or watermark reflection. This could include several digits such as the date of birth or just part of the MRZ, etc.
It may occur when poor lighting obscures the entire document (for example, when a picture is taken in total darkness without a flash).
5️⃣ More than one person
This reason is chosen when the user's photographs depict an additional person who may have the potential to influence the process.
For instance, if a woman's hand is holding a man's document, or if another person is visible in the picture.
6️⃣ Submitted unrelated photo
This reason is chosen when an individual submits photos that are entirely unrelated to identification (e.g., room, car, landscape, animal, or pictures from the Internet).
7️⃣ Bad media format
This option is chosen when images of a face or document are inaccurately submitted.
It applies to companies utilizing KYC (Know Your Customer) functionality when images of documents taken in black and white are presented.
8️⃣ Part of face is covered
This reason is chosen when part of the human face is covered, such as when a person covers their face with a document or a sheet of paper.
📇 Other
1️⃣ Possible fraud attempt
This reason is chosen when a potential case of fraud can be identified. If the client submits a “selfie” (and it looks male) but the sex in the submitted document is female and vice versa, or if the client submits a “selfie” and a document, but we clearly see that the submitted document belongs to a different person.
2️⃣ Underage person
This reason is chosen when the individual submitting the identification documents is a minor.
3️⃣ Unsupported country or state
This reason is chosen if the company has a list of prohibited countries/states and the submitted document (of a certain country) falls on that list.
4️⃣ Unsupported nationality
This reason is chosen if the company has a list of prohibited nationalities, and the submitted document (of a certain nationality) is on that list.
5️⃣ Sanctioned
This reason is chosen when the person providing identification is found in the list of sanctioned individuals. We manually verify the sanctions list and if we identify a matching name and surname, we decline the identification with this reason.
6️⃣ Client already exists
This reason is chosen when individuals identifying themselves already exist in our client’s database.
7️⃣ Miscellaneous
This reason is chosen in very rare cases, such as:
When technological obstacles prevent us from accessing the Register (due to errors on their side).
For companies with a "Repeat" process, where an individual can repeat the identification process without restarting it, resulting in multiple photo sessions being visible in one identification.
This option may be chosen if the customer attempts the KYC process 3 times unsuccessfully. Following to a rejection as “Miscellaneous”, the client will be required to initiate the process again.
8️⃣ Transfer to video-call
This reason is chosen when, in certain cases, a video call is required to fully identify the person.
